Yachtcharter Martinique:
One of the most beautiful sailboat area's of the world. With tremendous nice waterlife, constant winds upto 5 - 6 beaufort for 24 hours per day - excellent air and water temperatures. Season starts mid of November and will last till end of May. June, July is low season with some rain showers per day (rain season) and from september till mid november hurrican sesaon will start. The main Martinique sailboat season runs from November through to July. The Martinique primary high season is from mid-December to March, when the winter escapees from North America and Europe arrive in their greatest numbers. The hurricane season is from late July to early October, although hurricanes are in general rare in the southern Martinique. Unfortunately, they can be prevalent around Cuba, Bahamas and the east coast of the U.S. every few years. This is the least expensive time for chartering in the Martinique and there are some really good deals are available. However, as well as running the risk of storms, this time of year also tends to be associated with lighter (or non existent) winds.

As with many boating locations the Martinique shoulder season, in this case from April to July, is also a great time to charter a boat as there are less shore based visitors, some lovely settled sunny weather, and warm yet steady breeze. The Martinique is made up of many different multi-nation (and multi-cultural) volcanic islands. There are amazing sailboat grounds stretching from Cuba and Jamaica in the west, through the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, The Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands, finishing with Trinidad and Tobago off the coast of Venezuela.
We can offer sailboat, sailboat plus shipper and cabin cruises from all major ports such as : Martinique, St Martin, Cuba, Brasil, BVI and Tortola.
Sailboat Martinique Conditions:
The BVI offers sheltered waters and simple navigation. Winds generally blow
northeast to southwest at 10-20 knots. In the winter months, the winds can be
stronger and blow more northeasterly. The
tidal range is about 12 inches
The Windward Islands promise lively sailboat. Winds blow from the northeast in
winter months and from the southeast during the summer at 10-25 knots,
strengthening around the northern ends of the islands. This itinerary also
offers sailors the opportunity to make a few longer, open-water passages
between islands.
Some sails can take 7-10 hours.

Martinique and the islands nearby:
Martinique is one of the largest islands in the Lesser Antilles (1100 Km²). The mountainous part has 2 main peaks: Mont Pelée in the north and Les Pitons du Carbet in the central section. Bougainvillea, anthuriums, bamboo and many varieties of exotic trees are decking the woodlands. All over the island you find sugarcane and banana fields. Introduced around 1640, slavery was abolished only in 1848. Martinique is a department of France since 1946, whose capital is Fort de France, and was made a centre for sugar production.

The classic sailboat course starting from Martinique is down to the south, passing by St Lucia and heading for the Grenadines, archipelago between St Vincent and Grenada. Bequia, Moustique, Tobago Cays These places mean faraway, exotics and amazement. You can even extend your way further down to Trinidad and Tobago or Los Roques… The Grenadines offer luxury hideaways of the rich and famous, historic sites and the unique Tobago Cays.

Your cruise can lead you also up to the nort passing Martinique on the
Martinique side, heading for Domenica, the wild, green island and finally
finding mildness again by approaching Les Saintes, islands belonging to
Guadeloupe.
